The World Youth Forum (WYF) 2017 took place in Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt between 4 – 10 November 2017. It was a monumental week comprising of conferences on sustainable development, peace and conflict resolution. We thank the Egyptian Government and its youth volunteers for their hard work in organizing such an innovative forum for more than 3800 youth from around the globe. We were very fortunate to have been selected out of 233,000 applicants. The Egyptian Government exceeded all expectations of the WYF and provided an environment of open discussion and an opportunity to network with many influential community and business leaders who were concerned for the welfare of the youth of the future and to make a global difference.
The WYF provided dialogues for issues surrounding youth challenges for the future, youth leadership, social and economic political situations in different countries of World. The forum also implemented round table discussions of effective action strategies and good business practices which we can develop in our own country and globally, among many more countries.
Today we leave Egypt with the indescribable satisfaction of having participated in one of the most influential experiences of our careers. We reflect on each conversation had, each participant we had the opportunity to meet and every moment shared discussing projects and ideas to develop a brighter future as the youth of the world today. With the open-minded exchange of these words of wisdom, we are motivated to strive to achieve a better world and bridge the gap between the West and other nations.
Each of the youth participants have inspired thought, adding extremely valuable life experiences to the fight for a better world. It was an amazing opportunity to meet the youth from different walks of life who have accomplished so much in their youth and continue to strive for a better future. The message that the WYF has portrayed is that every day can be better, every day you can learn so much more and that every minute counts in the fight for peace and world progression.
The World Youth Forum has portrayed a magnificent and powerful will to the generation of young people seeking to establish a real and effective change in this world. We understand that this message is a little long but it has a single end. We invite you to dream big, to be real agents of change and to believe in the potential of the younger generation, because they are precisely the ones that can generate high-level impact changes to build a better world.
It is not enough to criticize what is wrong in the world, it is not enough to show non-conformity to certain situations without acting to change them, it is not enough to avoid and ignore problems without addressing them effectively. We can’t stay in the good speech without foundation. The example begins with each and every one of us.
Create, fight, and take on enormous challenges! Especially those that involve unimaginable responsibility and sacrifices. Let’s start to control the course of history and take the helm of the ship! Because if it isn’t us and now, then who and when? This is the message that the World Youth Forum has portrayed to its youth of the world. Our doors are always open to those who wish to join us in our journey to open business channels and investment opportunities in Australia and abroad.
