You, your client or someone you know may be eligible for a Significant Investor Visa (Subclass 188 – Significant Investor Stream) even if you do not have a business background or any business experience.
While these visa applications can be very complex, quite often we discover that the previous barriers to migration for many of our clients have simply been that they did not realise their eligibility for particular visas until they came to see us. Let us help.

You will note the following business and investment visas currently available for prospective migrants to Australia:

A Subclass 188 – Significant Investor Stream visa does not require you to have any business experience for eligibility!
Later on, subclass 888 – Business Innovation and Investment (Permanent) visas are available for eligible 188 visa holders. For significant investors, they primarily include just holding on to compliant investments and satisfying residency requirements.
Are you eligible for a visa despite having NO or LIMITED BUSINESS EXPERIENCE?
Allow us to ask you the following questions to see if you are eligible for a Subclass 188 – Business Innovation and Investment (Provisional) – Significant Investor Stream:
1. Do you have, or can acquire $5 million AUD to invest? Note that this can include gifts, bequests or inheritance.
2. Can you prove with legal documentation that the $5 million used for an investment is legally sourced and unencumbered?
3. Are you willing to commit to an Australian investment for 4 years?
4. Are you willing to invest in the following type of investment funds?
– Venture capital with growth private equity funds investing in start-ups and small private companies; and
– Approved managed funds investing in emerging companies listed on the Australian Stock Exchange; and
– Balancing managed funds that may invest in a range of assets, including but not limited to ASX-listed companies, Australian corporate bonds or notes, annuities and commercial real estate.
There are a number of investment products available to you which package all of the above investments in one process. They are often developed with the intention of 188 visa compliance. We pride ourselves on our complete service, so please feel free to ask us for assistance in sourcing such product options.
If you answered YES to all of the above, you may be eligible for a Significant Investor visa! Simple as that!
